Craft : how to make artificial flowers with stocking cloth.

How to make artificial flowers with stocking or nylon cloth

creative simple easy craft stocking flowers make
ehowart : how to make stocking / nylon flowers

Today we will make stocking flowers.
These flowers are easy to make and look beautiful, but the best part is that they are washable.

Let’s take a look at what you’ll need.

For the flowers and leaves, you’ll need:

Add caption
Thin silver or golden wire.
Stocking cloth (stretchable translucent cloth) in a color of your choice for the flowers and in green for the leaves
Pollens (ready-made plastic centers for flowers)
String (strong enough to tie the petals together)
A pair of scissors (strong enough to cut the wire and stocking cloth
For the stems, you’ll need:

Thick wire.

Green tape.

Once you gather all your materials together, follow the simple steps below

1. Start by cutting the thin wire into 4-inch pieces. Keep in mind that, for each flower, we’ll need 3 pieces of wire for the petals and 2 pieces of wire for the leaves. That’s a total of 5 pieces for each flower.

2. Next, bend each piece of wire into a loop and twist the edges together.
3. Cover each wire loop with the edge of the stocking cloth and tie the edges of the cloth together with a piece of string. Make sure to stretch the cloth over the wire loop, so that it achieves the desired level of translucency.

 4. Then, cut off the extra stocking cloth from each petal or leaf.
5. Make 3 petals and 2 leaves in this way.

6. Now, cut a 20-inch piece of thick wire and bend it in half.

7. Place around 10 pollens in the center of the piece of wire and twist the wire around the pollens to hold them together.

8. Then, place the first petal around the pollens and tie tightly with string.

9. Place the second petal next to the first petal and again tie tightly with string.
10. Finally, place the third petal next to the first two petals (so as to complete the circle around the pollens) and tie tightly with string.
11. Next, wrap the green tape around the lower part of the flower, such that it covers the twisted parts of the wire loops and the pieces of string used to tie the petals together.
12. Continue wrapping the green tape around the thick wire for 3 inches.
13. Then, place a leaf along the wire and use the green tape to bind it tightly to the wire. Then, continue wrapping the green tape around the wire for another 2 inches.
14. Place another leaf along the wire and use the green tape to bind it tightly to the wire. Then, continue wrapping the green tape around the wire till the end of the wire.
15. That’s it! Our first flower is ready.

16. Repeat steps 1 to 15 to make as many flowers as you need for your flower pot or vase.
You can also make some stems with only leaves to add volume to the bunch of flowers
Once all your stems are ready, arrange them in the flower pot or vase. You can bend some of the stem wires at different points to change their height and give the bunch a more realistic feel

And there you have it! Your beautiful stocking flowers are ready!
