Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. This art helps to reduce mental stress and works as a memory booster for kids.

Today, we’ll learn how to make origami shoes.

1. Start by taking a square origami paper 9" x 9"

2. Fold the paper in the center and then cut along the fold to make two equal pieces for the two shoes.

3. To make the first shoe, take 1 of the pieces of paper.

4. Make a horizontal fold in the center of the paper.
.

5. Now, make a vertical fold in the center of the paper.

6. Next, fold one side of the paper diagonally, such that the horizontal fold touches the vertical fold.
.

7. Fold the other side of the paper diagonally, such that the horizontal fold touches the vertical fold.

8. This is what the paper will look like at this point.

9. Now, fold from Point A to Point B and from Point A to Point C.
.

10. Then, fold from Point E to Point F.

11. Fold from Point G to Point H.

12. Flip the paper upside down.

15. Next, fold from Point L to Point K.

16. Flip the paper upside down.

17. Then, use your finger to make a little space at the point shown by the arrow.

18. Insert the pointed shape into the space you just created with your finger.
.

19. Use your finger to make a little space at the point shown by the arrow.
.

20. Use your fingers to press the lower part of the shoe and flatten it a little bit.

21. Turn the tip of the shoe upward a little.

22. Finally, fold the edge of the upper part of the shoe outward to give the upper part a border and complete the shoe.

23. Follow steps 3 to 22 to make another shoe.

24. And your shoes are ready! Whenever you tell your kids a story about a king, hero, or role model, you can put these shoes on your fingers and show the movement of the character!
